Learning to Study

Science and social studies are really fun, hands-on classes; however, they have challenging vocabulary and concepts.  The tests can be difficult, so please make sure your child studies.  For most of the students, studying is a new skill that they will have to learn.  Different students have different ways of studying that work best for them.  Your child may need to make flashcards, be quizzed by a family member, or just need to go over the study guide each night.  I will provide a study guide a week before each test.

Keeping Up With Homework

Please make sure your child is completing his or her homework checklist each day.  The checklist should always be in your child's folder and should be brought home every night for you to check.  It is very important that you review this checklist with your child.  Students tend to remember more when they discuss what they have done throughout the day. Thanks for your help!
